Mark Silber joins USWeb New York offices as Partner, Senior Creative Director

NEW YORK - November 30, 1998 - USWeb Corporation (Nasdaq: USWB) today announced Mark Silber has joined its New York offices as partner and senior creative director, overseeing all creative components of client engagements and managing regional creative personnel. Silber was formerly vice president, executive creative director of Grey Interactive.

"Mark brings with him a solid creative vision and respected strengths in Internet marketing and creative strategy and management," says Hugh Osborn, partner and executive producer. "His experience in branding and marketing, with many of the world's largest and most successful marketers, will bring USWeb clients an unrivalled talent to the front-end of their Internet solution."

Silber concurs. "Today for many companies, your Web site serves multiple purposes, including business-to-business, advertising, product showroom, consumer storefront and customer service center. Increasingly, it's what customers think of when they think of your brand. I look forward to working with the deep technical and creative resources of USWeb and CKS Group to create experiences that build brands and drive business." USWeb and CKS have received SEC clearance to merge.

While at Grey Interactive, Silber managed one of the largest creative departments in the interactive marketing business. His responsibilities included strategic consulting, concept development, design, and execution of Web sites and online advertising campaigns. He worked with clients such as Dell Computer, Autobytel.com, Procter & Gamble, AT&T, Intel and Chase. He was creative director of the team that relaunched www.dell.com and helped Dell build the site into a $10 million a day business.

Silber's interactive work has garnered numerous industry accolades, including awards from CASIE (Cover Girl and Dell), the One Show (Dell), and the Cannes Interactive Advertising Festival (Dell and Hugo Boss). Prior to Grey Interactive, Silber worked in traditional advertising with Saatchi & Saatchi as creative supervisor. Before that, he was at Lowe & Partners.
