Tom Steiner, Managing Partner of Mitchell Madison Group, Appointed to President and COO
SAN FRANCISCO - September 7, 1999 - USWeb/CKS (Nasdaq: USWB), the leader in Internet professional services, announced today the appointment of Tom Steiner, a co-founder and managing partner of Mitchell Madison Group (MMG), to President and COO of USWeb/CKS, following the closing of the Company's acquisition of MMG.

Steiner has over 20 years of top-tier strategy consulting and operations management experience. As President and COO he will be responsible for the company's field operations and practice development.
Before he co-founded MMG, Steiner was a partner and led the Information Technology practice at McKinsey & Company for ten years. He was also a partner at the consulting firm A.T. Kearny. During his career, Steiner directed a broad range of strategy, organization and operation consulting for clients worldwide. In addition, he is co-author of Technology in Banking: Creating Value and Destroying Profits and The Banking Revolution: Salvation or Slaughter.
