Darrell Hayden, founder of the Hayden Group, and Alan Segal, former Saatchi & Saatchi director of new media strategies, bring a strategic level of marketing communications expertise to USWeb/CKS from years of consulting for companies with both global reach and brand affinity. Based in the Northwest region, Darrell Hayden joins the company as Partner, responsible for providing naming and verbal branding counsel for clients, as well as strengthening the company's expertise in this area. Alan Segal joins the San Francisco office as senior creative director to manage the creative integrity of client work. About Darrell Hayden Hayden joins USWeb/CKS with over 20 years of corporate identity, naming, and branding experience. Most recently, he founded and led his own company, Hayden Group, which specialized in naming and visual identity programs for companies such as Achieva Centers, AllBusiness.com, Callidus Software, Ignite!, Mariposa Technology, WinShip Properties and Zing Network. Before starting Hayden Group, he was Executive Creative Director of Frankfurt Balkind Partners where he directed identity programs for clients such as the American Film Institute, J.Paul Getty Trust, Hallmark Entertainment, Novell and Seagate Technology. Prior to that, he was Executive Director and Principal of Landor Associates where he ran the company's corporate identity practice and directed projects for DuPont, Federal Express, Hyatt Hotels, Southwestern Bell and Sunkist, among others. Segal also collaborated with Saatchi offices worldwide on a variety of Internet marketing initiatives, including work in the New Zealand office developing Web strategies for Telecom New Zealand. Segal's career spans a number of cities, media and businesses, from point-of-sale video produced internally at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, to Chiat/Day's first forays into direct marketing in New York, Toronto and Los Angeles.
